Good one
When I first found this one it was in an article claiming that 95% of preschoolers got it right on the first try, but 95% of college students were completely stumped by it.
What's greater than God,
More evil than the devil,
Rich people want it,
Poor people have it,
And if you eat it you die?

It would appear that no one else is going to try to get it...

Re: Good one
Anyone care to know what the article said the reasons were that caused 95% of preschoolers to get it right on the first try while 95% of college students were completely stumped by it?

Re: Good one
Sure, but I'm sure it's something simple like the children were able to look at it in a simple way, while the college kids took to over analyzing it looking for a complex answer.

Something like that. It has to do with the way people think when they're a kid and how they're taught to think as they go through school. Kids tend to look at each question as it is asked, answering them each individually. By the time people become adults they are taught to wait and take in the whole thing before trying to answer. The more parts the question has the more complex the answer should be per the logic taught to them in modern schools. This causes them to ignore the obvious answer and try to come up with something that fits the expectation instead of something that simply answers the question.
To an extent I agree with the article. The obvious answer always seems to be the last one considered by most adults these days and having spent the past week playing the role of daycare for my daughter (she's 4) I've noticed that the obvious answer is almost always the first one she considers...
